GREAT HAUGHTON GREYHOUND STADIUM

The greyhound track at the South Yorkshire village of Great Houghton was situated at 1° 21' W 53° 33' N, in the Borough of Barnsley and first opened for business in 1935. It was located next to the Old Hall Inn, a famous landmark built in the 16th century, but sadly the Inn was destroyed by fire in 1960. The track was owned by a local Brewery and leased by them for the purpose of greyhound racing.

The track was independently run and operated until 1954.
